Hey Guys & Dolls!!

I'm so excited to present this week's feature on B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies! I'm a big supporter of small business owners. What better way to show my support than by featuring them and helping to get their name out, right? Here's another week of awesomeness!

I'm pleased to introduce to you Patrice Williams, Founder of The Panhandler Bag!

B. Ayesha: What is your name?

Patrice: Patrice Williams

B. Ayesha: What is the name of your business?
Patrice: JPC Ventures, LLC – DBA – The Panhandler Bag

B. Ayesha: How long have you been in business (anniversary)?
Patrice: April 25th 2014

B. Ayesha: How did you get started in this business?
Patrice: I simply needed this bag! I needed a bag that would protect my car’s upholstery from spills and heat, allow me to carry along other items such as napkins, utensils and condiments, keep me one hand free for opening doors, and allow me to deliver food to any social gathering hot and ready to eat!

B. Ayesha: What are the biggest issues for running this type of business?

Patrice: Definitely marketing would be my biggest challenge. Just getting the name out there is tough and quite costly.

B. Ayesha: Running your own business can become overwhelming at times. What motivates you to keep going?
Patrice: Every time I show The Panhandler Bag at a trade show or networking event, I receive such positive feedback on its usefulness. That WOW factor each time I engage in conversation about it is what keeps me going. I just know it’s a product that needs to be in every household. Some might think they don’t need it right now, but one day soon they will and that’s what motivates me. It’s a product that everyone can and will use so I keep trying to get the name out there.

B. Ayesha: What is the future for this type of business?

Patrice: I think this product has a very strong future. Lots of people travel with food whether it be a BBQ, block party, beach trip, family reunion, or holiday gathering. We are always taking food somewhere.

B. Ayesha: What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Patrice: I would definitely encourage an aspiring entrepreneur to follow their dreams. Take baby steps, but never stop taking steps. Don’t let anything get in your way of achieving your goal. It takes time to build a business. People often look at successful ventures and think they are overnight sensations. It just doesn’t happen that way. Celebrate each and every milestone, and keep moving forward.
